Step 1: Mark up your photos

Using a rubber band – place and hold your timber blocks into shape.

Place this over each of your photos, marking up the shape of the blocks. It’s really important to make sure you pick out photos that will work as a square!

Once you have your photo in a square shape, you can continue to mark the photo up into what will be the nine individual images.

Step 2: Cut your photos up!

Use your art knife or scissors to cut each of your images up. You can cut up each of the six photos at once, just be sure to keep each of the photos in separate piles!

Tip: If you’re cutting with an art knife do three gentle slices down your marked line to ensure you get the perfect cut.

Step 3: Stick your photos down

For this step you need to focus on one side/photo at a time.

Taking each section of your first photo. Apply a generous amount of Mod Podge (which you can purchase at any craft store) to the block and photo.

Use some additional Mod Podge to go over each section of the image. This will seal the image on the block.

Using your fingers press and hold down each of the photos. Focus on smoothing out the edges and making sure they are stuck. Don’t worry if you have white left from the Mod Podge. It will dry clear!

Repeat this process for each of the remaining photos.

Tip: To speed up the process, use your hair dryer on low heat after you finish each side to dry your Mod Podge.
